With Conte changing the system at Stamford Bridge and playing with two wing-backs, he could keep an eye on Nathaniel Clyne’s progress at Liverpool.

The England international impressed at Southampton between 2012 and 2015, and deservedly earned a move to Anfield last summer, where he has continued to show all the hallmarks of a top-quality right-back.

However, his attacking instincts could be suited to Conte’s wing-back roles, especially as Clyne is always looking to get forward and help out in the final third, which is hardly surprising for someone who wanted to be a striker at a young age.

However, he is still very adept defensively and, although Victor Moses has excelled in the wing-back role so far for Chelsea, if Conte wants slightly a more defensive option, Clyne could be the man.

With Barcelona reportedly interested in the England defender, the Blues will need to act fast if they want to bring Clyne to West London.
