Klopp has been keeping a very close eye on Inter Milan’s Geoffrey Kondogbia, increasing the possibility of a deal being done in January.

The 23-year-old signed for the Italian giants in 2015 for €31 million, and appeared 30 times for then-manager Roberto Mancini’s side last season.

However, the defensive midfielder has struggled to play regular football this season under new coach Frank de Boer.

His agent has come out and said that Kondogbia is happy at Inter despite his lack of first team action, but also admitted that there was a lot of interest in the French international should he want out of the San Siro.
