Crystal Palace have agreed terms with Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho over a Deadline Day loan deal, however, are yet to reach an agreement with the Reds, according to reports from the Telegraph.
The France international, who has been exiled from Jurgen Klopp’s side this season, has looked destined for the door marked ‘Exit’ at Anfield this month, having been strongly linked with a move to Southampton earlier in the window.
The Merseyside club have been holding out for a permanent deal worth £20m, however, it seems no suitors are willing to meet that asking price without a loan deal before hand.
Considering the former Paris Saint-Germain defender has not played a minute of first team football this term, a loan deal prior to any permanent move seems like wise business for any buying party.
The deal is not likely to be announced until late on Tuesday night, with Sam Allardyce’s side facing Bournemouth on the south coast this evening.
