Crystal Palace and Leicester go head-to-head over Serie A striker

Crystal Palace and Leicester City are set to go head-to-head in the race to sign Senegal striker Khouma Babacar.

The Premier League duo, who currently sit fifth and second in the standings respectively heading into the New Year, are both thought to be interested in recruiting the Fiorentina hitman during the January transfer window.

The 22-year-old, who is yet to make his full international debut for his country, has scored four goals in eight league appearances for the Serie A outfit this season.

Babacar, whose pace and power up front has impressed both Premier League clubs this term, has netted six goals in all competitions this campaign.
