Crystal Palace and Watford are reportedly ready to offer Togo international Emmanuel Adebayor a return to the Premier League this month.

The Premier League duo, who currently sit seventh and ninth in the table following their respective defeats to Chelsea and Manchester City at the weekend, are interested in signing the former Tottenham striker until the end of the 2015-16 campaign.

The 31-year-old, who has been without a club since last September, scored 42 goals in over 110 appearances for Spurs during his five-year spell at White Hart Lane between 2011 and 2015.

However Adebayor, who has not scored an English top-flight goal since Tottenham’s 2-1 defeat against Newcastle United back in October 2015, has only played 17 minutes of league action in the past 12 months.

Although it is understood that the former Monaco, Arsenal, Manchester City and Real Madrid hitman has been keeping fit with the aid of an employed personal trainer within the past few months.
