Crystal Palace and West Ham eye £5m deal for ex-Newcastle United full-back

Crystal Palace and West Ham United are both reportedly interested in signing Italy international defender Davide Santon.

The Premier League duo, who currently sit seventh and sixth in the league table respectively, are both thought to be willing to offer the full-back a return to the English top-flight during the January transfer window.

The 25-year-old, who has eight international caps for his country, has made just nine league appearances for Serie A giants Inter Milan so far this season.

Santon, who played 94 games for Newcastle United between 2011 and 2015, is thought to be valued at around £5m.
