Crystal Palace are reportedly plotting a club-record £15m bid for Belgium international striker Michy Batshuayi.

The Premier League side, who currently sit sixth in the standings after Monday night’s 1-1 draw at Everton, have been scouting the Marseille hitman throughout the start of the 2015-16 campaign.

The 22-year-old, who has two international caps to his name, has scored an impressive 12 goals in 21 appearances in all competitions for the Ligue 1 outfit so far this season.

Eagles boss Alan Pardew is eager to bolster his attacking options in the January transfer window as none of his side’s recognised strikers, Dwight Gayle, Connor Wickham, Patrick Bamford, Frazier Campbell or Marouane Chamakh, have registered a single Premier League goal this term.

However Batshuayi has also been linked with English top-flight rivals Arsenal, Chelsea, Newcastle United and Tottenham already this campaign.
