Wilfried Zaha has been offered a new contract by Crystal Palace that will make him the highest earning player at the club according to the latest reports by the Guardian.

The 24 year-old is set to be given a £110, 000 a week deal to keep him at Selhurst Park as Palace recognise his importance to the side and the need to fend off interest from other clubs, with Arsenal and Chelsea thought to be interested in acquiring Zaha’s services.

This weekend saw the former Manchester United winger underline his importance to the side as he put in a man-of-the-match performance at Stamford Bridge, tearing the Chelsea defence apart time and time again en route to a shock Palace victory which now leaves them four points above the drop zone following four straight wins.

Zaha may be tempted to move to a bigger club but last time he did that, moving to Old Trafford, it didn’t work out, so the prospect of earning top money at Palace may be enough to tempt him to stay.
