Crystal Palace have reportedly held talks over a possible £9m move for Senegalese striker Khouma Babacar.

The Premier League side, who suffered a 3-0 defeat to defending champions Chelsea at the weekend, are understood to have made an offer for the Fiorentina forward already this month.

The 22-year-old, who is yet to make his senior international debut for his country, has scored six goals in 14 appearances in all competitions for the Serie A outfit this season.

Eagles boss Alan Pardew is eager to recruit a new striker during the January transfer window following loanee Patrick Bamford’s early return to parent club Chelsea and the fact that Connor Wickham is the only Palace forward to score in the league this campaign.
