Crystal Palace are set to renew their interest in Senegal international Mohamed Diame this summer, according to the Hull Daily Mail.

The Premier League side, who currently sit 12th in the table following their 1-1 draw against Swansea City at the weekend, made enquiries for the Hull City midfielder during the previous January transfer window.

The 28-year-old, who has 28 international caps for his country, has scored four and assisted four goals in 23 Championship appearances for the Tigers so far this season.

Diame, who joined Hull from Premier League rivals West Ham United back in the summer of 2014, is thought to be a long-term admirer of Palace boss Alan Pardew.

The report suggests that the Senegalese star is in the final 18 months of his contract at the KC Stadium, although Tigers boss Steve Bruce will be keen to keep hold of Diame’s services at the end of the current campaign as the battling central midfielder has played a vital role in helping Hull climb to the top of the Championship.
