Name: Scott Dann
Despite being the club’s third-captain; Scott Dann has been Crystal Palace’s number one star throughout 2015, with the majority of Eagles supporters convinced the centre-half deserves an England call-up.
The 28-year-old, who arrived at Selhurst Park from Blackburn Rovers almost two years ago, has been ever present in Palace’s defence since his £6m switch, a fee worth every penny after guiding his teammates to their best-ever Premier League finish (Tenth) last term.
This season; Alan Pardew’s side are destined to challenge England’s elite for a top-five finish, with the influential Dann leading the Eagles’ appetite for European football from the last line of defence.
The former Walsall centre-half has played the most minutes (1,620) than any other Palace player in the Premier League so far this campaign, scoring three times and assisting one goal in 18 appearances.
Alongside fellow defender Joel Ward and in-form goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey; who have been equally impressive so far this season, Pardew’s men are destined to achieve their second successive highest finish in the English top-flight come May.
Palace just need to recruit that star striker in January who can help fire the club into European competition for the first time since 1999.
