Crystal Palace are reportedly interested in signing Manchester United striker James Wilson on loan.

The 13-time Premier League champions are reportedly willing to allow the England Under-21 international to leave Old Trafford in the New Year for more first-team opportunities elsewhere.

The 19-year-old, who has been restricted to just one substitute appearance so far this season, has scored four goals in 19 first-team appearances for United.

However; the £36m arrival of France ace Anthony Martial over the summer knocked Wilson further down manager Louis van Gaal’s pecking order, meaning Wilson is likely to spend the remainder of the season out on loan past the January transfer window.

Despite being heavily linked with a move to Scottish Premiership champions Celtic; Eagles boss Alan Pardew is thought to be keen on a temporary deal for Wilson, especially with Chelsea loanee Patrick Bamford reportedly about to be recalled by his parent club after a lack of first-team opportunities at Selhurst Park.
