Joe Ledley helped Wales reach their first major tournament finals in 57 years, despite suffering defeat in Bosnia-Herzegovina. Needing just a point to qualify for next summer’s 2016 UEFA European Championships in France, the Group B leaders stumbled to a 2-0 defeat on Saturday after late goals from Milan Djuric and Vedad Ibisevic. But Chris Coleman’s Dragons still advanced to the Euro finals thanks to Cyprus’ surprise 2-1 victory in Israel, sparking wild celebrations in the away end in Zenica. The Crystal Palace midfielder, alongside fellow club teammate Wayne Hennessey in goal, failed to dazzle in Bosnia, but the central midfielder returned to form with a solid defensive display in the centre of the park to pull his weight in Wales’ historic achievement. Ledley then sat out Wales’ return 2-0 victory over Andorra inside the Cardiff City Stadium on Tuesday night, although his dance moves certainly caught the limelight!
