Derby County have signed midfielders Bradley Johnson and Jacob Butterfield on transfer deadline day.

Johnson, 28, joins the Rams as the club’s new record signing after leaving Premier League side Norwich City to sign a four-year deal with the Championship outfit.

The fee is believed to be around £6m after Johnson scored an impressive 15 goals in 45 appearances in all competitions for Alex Neil’s Canaries last season as Norwich won promotion to the English top flight back in May.

Meanwhile Butterfield, 25, also put pen-to-paper on a four-year deal at the iPro Stadium after joining from Huddersfield Town for a fee believed to be between £4-5m.

The Terriers’ Player of the Season last term scored seven goals in 52 appearances during the 2014-15 campaign.
