Leicester City City have completed the signing of Nigeria international forward Ahmed Musa for a club-record fee of a reported £16m.

The Premier League side, who finished ten points clear of second-placed Arsenal in the English top-flight standings last term to miraculously lift the title, have been heavily linked with a summer swoop for the CSKA Moscow striker.

The 23-year-old, who has 58 international caps for his country, scored 18 goals and provided six assists in 44 appearances for the Russian Premier Liga outfit last season.

Musa, who has signed a four-year deal at the King Power Stadium, joins the Foxes having won the Russian title with CSKA last term.

Speaking to the club’s official website, the Nigerian said, “I feel very happy joining Leicester City, for me it’s one of the best clubs and I feel very happy.

“I joined because it’s one of the best clubs in the Premier League and they are like a family. That’s why I joined Leicester City and I’m very excited.

“I look forward to seeing the fans in the new season and I will do my best to make them happy.”

Despite fellow interest from Premier League rivals Southampton, West Ham United and Everton, Claudio Ranieri’s side have made Musa their fourth summer signing following the arrivals of goalkeeper Ron-Robert Zieler, defender Luis Hernandez and midfielder Nampalys Mendy.
