Real Madrid have reportedly joined the hunt to sign Italy international sensation Gianluigi Donnarumma, according to Don Balon.

The La Liga giants, who currently lead rivals FC Barcelona at the top of the Spanish top-flight standings, are thought to be battling it out with Manchester United and Chelsea in order to land the AC Milan starlet.

The 18-year-old, who has two senior international caps for his country, has kept six clean sheets in 17 appearances in all competitions for the Serie A outfit so far this season.

Donnarumma, who became Italy’s youngest ever ‘keeper after replacing the legendary Gianluigi Buffon against France back in September, is wanted by Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane to replace fellow shot stopper Keylor Navas at the Bernabeu.

Manchester United are also interested in the Italian’s services, considering Madrid’s continual pursuit of their Spaniard David De Gea, whilst Premier League rivals Chelsea are mindful of Thibaut Courtois’ uncertain future at Stamford Bridge.
