Dr Tony Xia has reassured Paul McGrath that Aston Villa are moving in the right direction.

Tuesday’s 3-0 defeat at Brentford was a bitter blow after completing the deal to sign Scott Hogan from the Griffin Park side.

Steve Bruce was able to spend freely in the transfer window but so far there has been no dividend on the park.

Dr Tony uses twitter freely to communicate with fans and didn’t hesitate to answer McGrath’s concerns about his old club.

On Saturday Bruce faces another difficult away game when Villa travel to manager-less Nottingham Forest.

Gary Brazil is currently in charge of the side and despite chaos in the boardroom Forest were able to agree a deal with Villa to take Ross McCormack on loan.

The former Fulham striker won’t be available to play against his parent club but anything less than three points will create more concern and anxiety for McGrath and thousands of Villa fans.
