Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has made it clear that he would like to land a deal to keep on-loan Arsenal midfielder on the south coast on a permanent basis.
Speaking ahead of his side’s clash with Manchester City on Monday, the Cherries boss admitted that he would love to arrange a deal with the north London side for the midfielder.
“We would love that to happen,” said the former Bournemouth player.
“I can’t rate Jack enough as a footballer and a person, how he has come into the team and what he’s delivered for us.
However, there is nothing in the pipeline just yet.
“There has been no discussions with Arsenal, as I see it Jack’s on loan until the end of the season and then we’ll look at it and Jack will look at it.”
The England international made the shock move on Deadline Day last summer, having discovered that game time would be tough to come by at The Emirates this term.
Since arriving the midfielder has been managed almost perfectly by Howe, limiting his playing time early on before unleashing a fully-fit Wilshere on his side.
Going into the latter stages of the season and Wilshere could be on course to complete a full term injury free.
