West Ham got the better of London rivals Chelsea at the London Stadium on Saturday, inflicting the Blues’ second defeat of the season keeping their place in the top four in the process.

Chelsea had twice taken the lead but been pegged back by the Hammers, before Arthur Masuaku’s late goal ensured all three points stayed in the East of the capital.

The result was the latest in a remarkable run of results for David Moyes’ side, who have already qualified for the Europa League knockout stages.

Now, the Blues and the Hammers look set to battle out once again, for the signature of a former Chelsea star.

As per the Express, both clubs have joined Everton in chasing Eden Hazard, with the Belgian having been made available for as little as £21 million by current club Real Madrid.

Hazard scored 110 goals in 352 matches for Chelsea.

The forward departed Stamford Bridge for the Spanish capital in 2019 but his time in Spain has been plagued by injuries and he has made just 40 La Liga appearances in the two-and-a-half years he has spent with Los Blancos.

Now, Madrid are reportedly prepared to let Hazard return to the Premier League for a snip of the £89 million they forked out for him in 2019.

Real boss Carlo Ancelotti has recently fuelled speculation surrounding the player’s future by insisting that he ‘has never forced a player to stay when he wants to leave’.

Hazard scored 110 goals and registered 92 assists in 352 matches for the Blues during a seven-year stay, but has failed to impress in Spain since his long-awaited ‘dream move’ to La Liga.

Despite Hazard’s injury problems, the proposed fee of just £21 million has seemingly sparked interest from the trio of Premier League clubs, and it appears that we could see the 30-year-old back in the Premier League in the near future.
