Manchester United will hope to return to winning ways when they face Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.

The Red Devils had endured a torrid start to the season under Ruben Amorim, however three consecutive victories in the Premier League suggested their fortunes had started to turn.

Last time out, however, United had to come from behind to rescue a point against struggling Nottingham Forest at The City Ground.

Next up for Amorim’s side is a trip to the capital to face a Spurs side that were beaten 1-0 by fierce rivals Chelsea last time out.

Ahead of the game, it has emerged that one member of Amorim’s squad is increasingly keen to leave the club.

As reported by CaughtOffside, midfielder Kobbie Mainoo remains adamant that he wishes to leave Manchester United in January.

The England international was pushing for a move away from Old Trafford during the recent summer transfer window, but United refused to grant the player’s wish for a loan move.

Mainoo, 20, has enjoyed an impressive rise from United’s youth academy into the first team over the past few seasons, but he has fallen somewhat out of favour since Amorim’s arrival a year ago.

It is claimed that the player has made it clear to his current employers that he wishes to leave the club this summer, with the midfielder likely to want to play regularly in an effort to force his way unto Thomas Tuchel’s England squad for the World Cup next year.

As many as ten clubs are said to be interested in Mainoo – to varying extents – according to the report, with Serie A champions Napoli among the frontrunners.

In total Mainoo has now made 80 appearances for the Red Devils across all competitions, although he has failed to start a single match for Amorim’s side in the Premier League so far this season.
