Manchester United will be hoping to get their pursuit of a place in the top four back on course when they face Wolves on Saturday.

Despite the Red Devils looking likely to finish in fourth place, two consecutive defeats in the Premier League have allowed fifth-placed Liverpool to creep within a point of the final Champions League spot.

Erik Ten Hag’s side have had a great campaign so far having lifted the Carabao Cup in February, and they will have the chance to add to their trophy cabinet again by beating fierce rivals Manchester City in the FA Cup final in June.

Despite making a few mistakes this season, goalkeeper David de Gea is set to win the Golden Glove award for keeping the most clean sheets in the Premier League.

De Gea has so far managed 15 shutouts, more than any other ‘keeper in the division.

However, the 32-year-old is stuck in talks with his current club as they continue to try to agree to terms on a new deal.

The goalkeeper is set to be out of contract in the summer and may decide to move on from Manchester United.

Therefore, manager Erik ten Hag has drafted a list of goalkeepers that could potentially replace the Spaniard if he doesn’t renew his deal at Old Trafford.

According to the Daily Mirror, United have lined up Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford as a potential replacement for De Gea.

The report claims that Pickford is one of the players that Ten Hag has identified to become Manchester United’s new goalkeeper.

The 29-year-old has spent around seven years playing regularly in the Premier League.

The goalkeeper originally played for Sunderland before making a £25m switch to Goodison Park in the summer of 2017.

Pickford has been a regular for the Toffees since joining the club and has now made more than 230 appearances across all competitions.

The 29-year-old made his England debut in 2017 under Gareth Southgate and has remained England’s number-one goalkeeper for many years.

Pickford recently signed a new contract, keeping him at the Merseyside club until 2027.

However, Everton could potentially be relegated this season as they currently sit in 17th place in the Premier League table and are only two points above the drop zone.

If Sean Dyche’s side are to be relegated, the England international may look for a way out of the club which could present Manchester United with the opportunity to move in.
