Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United know that victory over Feyenoord on Thursday night would give them a great chance of qualifying for the last 32 of the Europa League.

However, the Red Devils have struggled for consistency in the competition this season, with their tally of six points from four matches enough to see them third in the table, a point adrift of their Dutch opponents and Turkish giants Fenerbahce.

United have improved in recent weeks though, and Mourinho will be hoping that captain Wayne Rooney can build upon his decent run of form with another influential display on Thursday night.

Nonetheless, it won’t be easy for United on Thursday, as Feyenoord have lost just three times in all competitions this season, and won 10 of their last 15 games.

In former Liverpool forward Dirk Kuyt, they have a forward who have netted five times already in this campaign, and he’ll look to take his fine form into Thursday’s game.

So, with these two key players set to go head-to-head on Thursday, here is how Rooney and Kuyt match up in the Europa League this season…
