French champions Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly rejected the chance to sign Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo this summer.

The Portuguese has decided that he wants to leave the Red Devils this summer in search of Champions League football, and reports in recent days have suggested that PSG have been offered the chance to complete a sensational move for the 37-year-old.

Now, though, it appears that the Ligue 1 champions have rejected the chance to add Ronaldo to their star-studded attack, according to ESPN.

The report claims that the French side are unable to add the forward to their wage bill and would have to offload at least one star before signing Ronaldo.

It is claimed that the player’s agent, Jorge Mendes, met with PSG sporting director Luis Campos to discuss the possibility of signing the ex-Juventus star, but PSG have since decided that he isn’t the right signing at this present moment.

PSG currently boast an attacking trio of Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi, who combined last season for a total of 63 goals and 49 assists across all competitions.

Bayern Munich have reportedly already rejected the chance to sign Ronaldo, while Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is also not keen on the idea, despite the Blues being offered the chance to do so.

Ronaldo has one year remaining on the United contract that he signed when he returned to the club last summer.
