Champions League holders Real Madrid have enquired about the availability of Chelsea striker Armando Broja, according to reports.

As per The Evening Standard, the Spanish side are hoping to offload a number of forwards this summer, and are intent on replacing them with younger players.

Broja has emerged as a target for them after a relatively impressive loan spell at Southampton last term, where he scored nine goals.

The Blues initially considered offers for the 20-year-old, but are now instead preparing for the Albanian to be part of Thomas Tuchel’s squad for the upcoming season.

Broja’s Chelsea debut came against Everton in 2020

Broja had left Chelsea’s pre-season tour of the US early amid speculation over his future, but he returned to the side for a training match against Udinese on Saturday morning.

Everton and Newcastle United are also rumoured to be interested in the striker, who has made just one senior appearance for the Blues but impressed on loan with both the Saints and Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem in recent seasons.

The report claims that it is very unlikely that Chelsea will allow Broja to leave this summer.
