La Liga champions Barcelona are eyeing up a shock move for in-form Chelsea wing-back Victor Moses, according to Spanish publication Sport (via The Sun).

The 25-year-old has been reborn under Antonio Conte since the Italian’s arrival at Stamford Bridge in the summer, and is now a crucial part of the team in the wing-back role down the right-hand-side.

Moses has started Chelsea’s last six league games, all of which the Blues have won without conceding a goal, and he looks set to play an integral role in Conte’s 3-4-3 formation that he’s implementing on the Chelsea team.

Unsurprisingly, the Nigerian international’s brilliant form has alerted those outside of England, and it has been reported that Luis Enrique’s Barcelona are considering a move for the wing-back.

Barca scouts have watched Moses in action three times already this season as Enrique looks to solve his right-back issue, with Aleix Vidal not doing enough to warrant a regular starting berth.

And they could turn to Moses, who is embarking on his fifth season at Stamford Bridge, but only the second one that he has been in and around the first team.

He has been sent out on loan to Liverpool, Stoke, and West Ham since his debut campaign for the Blues in 2012, and never really did enough in those loan spells to warrant a spot in the Chelsea eleven.

However, Conte clearly sees potential in Moses’ wing-back capabilities, and looks set to keep him in the eleven for the visit of Tottenham on Saturday.

Now though, Chelsea may have to fend off interest from Barcelona to keep their man in West London.
