Merseyside duo Everton and Liverpool look set to battle it out for the signature of Anderlecht striker Lukasz Teodorczyk, according to The Daily Mirror.

The 26-year-old enjoyed a stunning campaign with the Belgian giants this time round, netting 30 times in 53 appearances in all competitions to help the club win the league title, and reach the quarter-final of the Europa League, where they ran into eventual winners Manchester United.

And with seven goals in Europe’s secondary competition, as well as 22 in the league, the Poland international has earned many rave reviews for his efforts, and has thus attracted interest from around the continent.

And two of those sides reportedly keeping tabs on the forward are Ronald Koeman’s Everton and Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool, with both looking to strengthen their attacking ranks ahead of their European adventures next term.

Klopp’s Reds will return to the Champions League and certainly need to bolster their squad to compete on both domestic and European fronts, while Koeman’s Toffees will see their season begin at the end of July in the third qualifying round of the Europa League, and thus will look to complete their business early ahead of that tie.

However, both sides will have to battle with Sevilla for the £10.6 million-rated striker (as per Transfermarkt), yet with the Spanish club wanting a settlement by June 12, the Merseyside duo look set to go head-to-head for Teodorczyk over the coming weeks and months.
