Premier League duo Everton and West Ham are ready to lock horns with other top-flight rivals for the signing of Barcelona youngster Munir El Haddadi, according to Mundo Deportivo (via Football.London).

The 21-year-old forward came up through the youth ranks at the Nou Camp between 2011 and 2014, before achieving his first team debut in August 2014 at home to Elche, a game in which he also bagged his first goal for the Catalans.

However, the Spain international was shipped out on loan to fellow La Liga outfit Valencia last season, netting six times for the club to help them to a 12th place finish, yet they have decided against triggering an option to make the deal a permanent one.

Yet Barcelona are willing to let El Haddadi move away this summer, which reportedly looks set to alert the Premier League quartet of Everton, West Ham, Crystal Palace, and Southampton, as well as European giants Ajax and La Liga side Real Sociedad.

Slaven Bilic’s Hammers laboured to an 11th place finish in the Premier League last season and are in need of more attacking flair, while Ronald Koeman’s Everton will seek to bridge the nine-point gap to the top six in the division, of which El Haddadi could play a big part.

Managerless Palace will also look to reinforce this summer to avoid being embroiled in a relegation scrap once again, while Southampton fans will be hoping their side bring in some more creative options after seeing a pretty negative style of play at St Mary’s last term.

Yet with Ajax and Real Sociedad also thought to be in the running, it will not be easy for any of these sides to land the £7.65 million-rated ace (as per Transfermarkt) in what could become quite the transfer saga this summer.
