Everton eye Spanish international

Everton are reportedly weighing up a move for Sporting Lisbon winger Diego Capel.

The 27-year-old, who has two international caps for Spain, scored once in 27 appearances in all competitions for the Primeira Liga outfit last season.

Roberto Martinez’s Toffees are on alert for a wideman following speculation that Kevin Mirallas could leave Goodison Park before the close of the transfer window, with West Ham United thought to be interested in the Belgian international.

Bearing that in mind, Everton are monitoring Capel’s situation in Portugal, with the winger available for as little as £2m as he enters the final year of his contract with the Lisbon club.
