Everton eyeing former Man Utd defender

Everton are considering bringing back former Manchester United defender Alexander Buttner to the Premier League.

Following the news that England left-back Leighton Baines will require ankle injury and will subsequently be out for up to three months, the Toffees are interested in bringing the Dinamo Moscow defender in on loan.

The 26-year-old, who made 28 appearances for United between 2012 and 2014, scored one goal in 31 appearances for the Russian outfit last season.

Everton boss Roberto Martinez is in the market for a new left-back, despite young defender Brendan Galloway filling in for Baines during last weekend’s 2-2 draw against Watford, plus the fact that Bryan Oviedo has returned from injury.
