Jordan Pickford has been the subject of much speculation this season as the Sunderland goalkeeper remains one of the few players who has truly shone under David Moyes during what has been a difficult campaign, and according to the latest reports in the Liverpool Echo, the youngster has once again attracted the interest of Everton.

Toffees boss Ronald Koeman is believed to be keen to bring in a shot stopper to Goodison Park during the summer and Pickford appears to fit the bill, following a series of impressive displays in a team that has spent some games facing an almost constant barrage of attacks and shots.

It’s not just Pickford who’s been linked with a move to Merseyside, with Kasper Schmeichel another player reportedly on Koeman’s radar, although the recent fallout over Claudio Ranieri’s departure from Leicester City may cause the Everton boss to rethink any move for the former Manchester City ‘keeper, who was accused of undermining the manager and playing a part in his sacking.

With Maarten Stekelenburg and Joel Robles on the books at Everton, at least one would have to make way for a new goalkeeper to come in, with the Dutchman the more likely of the two to leave.
