Ronald Koeman’s Everton host Premier League leaders Chelsea at Goodison Park this afternoon (2.05pm kick-off) on what could be a season-defining day in the top-flight.

The Toffees are seventh in the table but know that victory over Antonio Conte’s Blues would take them above Arsenal into sixth place, at least temporarily what with the Gunners away at North London rivals Tottenham later on this afternoon.

Nonetheless, Koeman’s men will all but seal a place in the Europa League next term with three points against the West London outfit this afternoon, what with seventh place all but certainly going to offer a European spot given that the Blues and Arsenal will contest the FA Cup final next month, and both teams are as it stands in European places.

However, Everton will have to be at their best to get the win over Chelsea this afternoon, as Conte’s side have the best away record in the division this term, having picked up a staggering 36 points from their 17 away matches, including 11 victories.

And news of the Toffees’ starting eleven hasn’t filled several Evertonians with much optimism ahead of today’s clash…
