Everton fans react to Lukaku’s performance against Liverpool

Before Saturday’s Merseyside derby at Anfield much if the talk centred around Romelu Lukaku and how much damage he could do to the Liverpool side.

The Everton striker’s form this season saw many expecting him to be the difference between the two sides and finally end a run of almost two decades since Everton have defeated Liverpool in the league at Anfield, following the game though, which saw the Reds defeat the Blues 3-1 much of the focus was on how the Belgian striker had disappointed.

Lukaku failed to make any sort of impression on the game as Liverpool rarely looked like dropping any points- the Toffees drew level for less than three minutes before Jurgen Klopp’s side took the lead once again. it was a frustrating afternoon for the Blue half of Merseyside and an equally frustrating one for their star striker.

Everton’s record-signing has been linked with a move away from Goodison after shunning a new deal, but if he is to get a transfer to a bigger club then he needs to improve against some of the bigger clubs.
