Everton have been given a massive boost in their bid to sign Sandro from Malaga.

The Court of Arbitration for Sport’s decision this morning to uphold the registration ban on Atletico Madrid removes the biggest barrier to the striker moving to Everton.

According to a report in the Liverpool Echo the striker is available for just £5m following a successful first season in La Liga where he scored 14 goals.

The players’ agent has been in talks about a deal to take the former Barcelona prospect to Atletico but that plan has now been shelved.

Everton have been watching Sandro closely this season with Ronald Koeman keen to bring in new striking options regardless of whether Romelu Lukaku stays or goes.

After coming through the ranks at Barcelona Sandro opted to move to Malaga last summer and can now take his pick of clubs or negotiate a vastly improved deal from Malaga.
