Everton hold an interest in bringing former Liverpool defender Ragnar Klavan back to Merseyside, according to reports.

Toffees boss Carlo Ancelotti is looking to bolster his squad after taking charge in December.

And BlogCagliariCalcio.net (via Sport Witness) report that the Italian is would like to sign the centre-back, who played 53 times in a two-year spell at rivals Liverpool.

Klavan currently plays for Serie A side Cagliari where he has appeared 15 times this season.

Ancelotti is eyeing reinforcements at Everton.

It’s claimed Everton haven’t formally approached the Italian outfit but that the Estonia international is aware of their interest.

If Ancelotti was to land the 34-year-old, he would provide competition for Mason Holgate, Yerry Mina and Michael Keane, who are currently the only three senior centre-backs in the squad.

In his time at Anfield, Klavan collected a Champions League runners-up medal as he was used mainly as a back-up by Jurgen Klopp.
