Premier League outfit Everton are set to lock horns with AC Milan and Sevilla to land West Ham midfielder Pedro Obiang, according to The Daily Mirror.

The 25-year-old has been a star performer for the Hammers since moving there back in 2015, and this term saw him nail down a regular place in Slaven Bilic’s side with 21 league starts, before his campaign was brought to a premature end due to injury back in March.

Obiang netted once and laid on an assist in their 3-1 win over Southampton back in February, and that display among many saw the Spaniard seriously endear himself to the West Ham faithful, and they are performances which have also attracted much interest around Europe.

And that’s because reports suggest that Ronald Koeman’s Everton are heading Italian giants AC Milan and La Liga outfit Sevilla in the chase for the 25-year-old’s signature.

The Toffees finished seventh in the Premier League this season, nine points adrift of sixth place Manchester United, and Koeman will be thinking how he can bridge that gap to the top six sides, and bringing in a proven top-flight player like Obiang could help them do just that.

However, although Everton are reportedly leading the chase, they will face competition from AC Milan and Sevilla for the Spaniard, whose fine displays this term saw him named as runner-up in West Ham’s Player of the Season awards.

Hammers boss Slaven Bilic won’t want to lose such a key player like Obiang, but with several top sides circling the London Stadium, he may face a tough battle to persuade the 25-year-old to remain in East London.
