Everton have reportedly joined the chase for Bayern Munich defender Dante.

According to German press, the Premier League club have joined fellow Bundesliga outfits Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Monchengladbach in the race for the 31-year-old’s signature.

Dante, who has 14 international caps for Brazil, failed to score in 39 appearances in all competitions for Pep Guardiola’s Munich last season.

However, it now seems the former Barcelona boss is willing to let the centre-half leave the Allianz Arena this summer after preferring Jerome Boateng and Mehdi Benatia as his ideal centre-half pairing.

Dante, who is under contract at the German giants until 2017, could be sold for around €9m (£6.3m).
