The Premier League trio of Everton, Newcastle United, and West Ham are targeting a summer move for Brentford playmaker Jota, according to West London Sport.

The 25-year-old moved to Griffin Park back in 2014 after time at Spanish outfit Celta Vigo, and has since gone on to score 23 goals in 84 games for the Bees, helping them reach the Championship play-offs in 2015, and then to tenth place in the second tier last term.

In fact, Jota only spent the second half of last season at Brentford after joining Eibar on loan up until January, yet still managed to net 12 goals and lay on five assists in just 21 games for Dean Smith’s side.

And, unsurprisingly, his scintillating form last season has attracted much interest around the country, and recent reports suggest that Everton, Newcastle, and West Ham are interested in a summer move for the 25-year-old.

Ronald Koeman’s Toffees are on the lookout for attacking reinforcements in a bid to bridge the nine-point gap to the top six in the Premier League, while Magpies chief Rafa Benitez knows that he’ll need to strengthen his squad to compete on their return to the top-flight next term.

And Hammers manager Slaven Bilic knows that he must improve his side’s fortunes next season after labouring to an 11th place finish last time out, and bringing in a playmaking sensation like Jota would go some way to aiding that quest.

It has been reported that Brentford see him as an £8 million player, yet whether the aforementioned Premier League trio look to meet that asking price over the coming weeks and months very much remains to be seen.
