Everton have reportedly join Leeds United and Queens Park Rangers in registering an interest in signing League One ace Daniel Bentley this summer, according to The Sun.

The Premier League side, who slipped to 12th in the English top-flight standings following last weekend’s 2-0 home defeat to the hands of Arsenal at Goodison Park, are in the market for a new goalkeeper to replace Tim Howard.

The 22-year-old, who came through the Shrimpers’ youth ranks, has kept 12 clean sheets in 41 appearances in all competitions for League One outfit Southend United so far this season.

Bentley, who is also thought to be closely monitored by fellow Premier League rivals AFC Bournemouth, Norwich City, Watford and West Brom, is out of contract at Roots Hall as of this summer.

Toffees boss Roberto Martinez is on the lookout for a new shot stopper, with veteran Howard destined to return to Major League Soccer once the current 2015-16 campaign has concluded.

Championships clubs Leeds and QPR were linked with moves for Bentley during the previous January transfer window.
