Gerard Deulofeu’s departure to AC Milan may tempt Koeman into looking for another forward-thinking player over the next few days.

And one man he has reportedly been keeping tabs on is Ajax’s Kasper Dolberg, who at the age of 19 has made a big impression in the Eredivisie.

The Dane, who made his senior debut last November, has scored 11 goals in 28 games for the Dutch giants this season, his first full campaign at the club.

Eight of those have come in the league and, although he hasn’t scored since November, he is one of the hottest properties in Europe.

Unsurprisingly, many top clubs have been linked with the youngster, and Everton are one of those reported to be interested.

It’s a deal that would be great for the club in both the present, and indeed the long-term.
