March proved to be another inconsistent month in the Premier League for Everton as they followed up an away win at bottom side Aston Villa with successive home defeats against West Ham and Arsenal at Goodison Park.

It did start positively though as they won 3-1 at Villa Park, and one of their stand out players on that night was winger Aaron Lennon, who netted the Toffees’ second goal from close range.

The former Tottenham wide man then netted his second goal of the month as he prodded home in the next match against the Hammers to put Roberto Martinez’s outfit, who had already seen Kevin Mirallas sent off, 2-0 up, but a missed penalty from Romelu Lukaku proved to be the catalyst for an incredible turnaround that saw the hosts eventually lose 3-2.
