Former Chelsea and Arsenal winger Willian is reportedly close to agreeing a sensational move to Fulham.

As per Tim Vickery on Sky Sports News, the former Brazil international has had his contract with current side Corinthians terminated and is now looking to seal a return to London.

The 34-year-old has not had an enjoyable return to his homeland, with Corinthians being knocked out of the Copa Libertadores and the player having had to report online abuse to local police.

He has therefore ripped up his contract with the Brazilian side, and is now keen on a move to Craven Cottage, South American football expert Vickery claims.

Fulham boss Marco Silva could soon be boosted by the arrival of Willian

The 70-time Brazil international scored 61 goals and provided 62 assists in 337 matches for the Blues, winning the Premier League twice and the club’s player of the year award on two occasions too.

He left Stamford Bridge for Arsenal in the summer of 2020 and, despite grabbing two assists on his debut, finished the season with just one goal and left for former club Corinthians in August 2021.

He managed just one goal all season on his return to Brazil though, and has now left the club by mutual consent.
