Despite having registered a duck in his last four outings, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has earned the highest praise from former Man United man, Owen Hargreaves.

Speaking on BT Sport, the former Bayern Munich and England man said:

“The signing of the season by far has been Zlatan Ibrahimovic,

“To get him on a free transfer – and a player of that quality. I wouldn’t like to know where Manchester United would be without Zlatan Ibrahimovic.”

The imposing Swede arrived at Old Trafford from Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer over the summer, and made a flying start to life in Manchester.

The retired international bagged three goals in his first two Premier League outings for the Red Devils, but has since struggled and missed a golden chance in the bore draw with Liverpool on Monday night.

The former Inter Milan and Barcelona star has stated that it did not take much convincing to make the switch to the Premier League when Mourinho told him that he was ‘waiting in Manchester’ for him.

The 35-year-old will be hoping to rediscover his touch in front of goal on Sunday when Mourinho takes his United side to face former club, Chelsea.
