Former Manchester United and Tottenham striker, Dimitar Berbatov, is eyeing a return to the Premier League, via BBC Radio 5 live Sport.
The 35-year-old, who also scored a remarkable 48 international goals in 78 games for this country between 1999 and 2010, is a free agent after leaving Greek outfit Panthessalonikios Athlitikos Omilos Konstantinoupoliton (PAOK) in the summer.
Berbatov, who has also endured spells at Championship side Fulham, AS Monaco, Bayer Leverkusen and CSKA Sofia, scored 56 goals for United, and 46 for Tottenham, in all competitions respectively.
Speaking to 5 live Sport before Tottenham’s Champions League tie against Leverkusen on Wednesday night, he said, “When you’ve played in the Premier League you don’t want to play anywhere else.
“In this stage of my career I know where I am – I would happily play for a team where they use my experience and my knowledge.”
