Man United midfielder Paul Pogba has been making headlines again this week, for all the right reasons. A stand out performance for France, capped by a trademark goal from distance, has had fans and pundits heaping praise on the former Juventus man once again.

The returned Red Devil has been the subject of heavy criticism since his world record move back to Manchester from Turin, with many arguing that he has far from lived up to the hype surrounding his summer deal.

On the back of his performance on Monday night, former France striker Christophe Dugarry, who won a World Cup and European Championship with the national side, has claimed that the 23-year-old can reach the very top, if he learns from his compatriot, Patrick Vieira.

Speaking on his RMC Sport radio show, the former Birmingham and Barcelona man said:

“This boy has shown so much talent and so many incredible class actions to Juventus we feel it is Zinedine Zidane. But it’s not Zidane. If you want a comparison, it is with Patrick Vieira.”

He added: “Certainly some games, he will be able to afford to be a little more creative. But I think today [against the Netherlands], his best position is in the middle.

“A little higher, no, because when he has is facing the game, it is much simpler. The Pogba I saw against the Netherlands, the Pogba can become a Ballon d’Or winner.”

Dugarry certainly sees a big future for the France international, but what do you think? Will Pogba win a Ballon d’Or? Vote below…
