Monaco midfielder Fabinho looks set to snub both Manchester United and Arsenal in favour of a move to join Pep Guardiola at Manchester City, according to his father.
The Brazil international, who has also been in talks with Spanish giants Barcelona, has been approached by all three Premier League clubs but has a ‘soft spot’ for the Sky Blues.
Speaking to Telefoot, the Monaco man’s father said:
“We have talked to Manchester City, Manchester United and Arsenal,”
“We have even been approached by Barcelona, but it didn’t go any further.
“We like Manchester United and the work of [Jose] Mourinho, but we have a little soft spot for City.”
The 23-year-old has been a mainstay for Monaco this season helping them to the top of Ligue 1, where they are three points clear of Paris Saint-Germain, who have won the title in the last four seasons.
Any move, however, could well hinge on how the race for the Premier League top four pans out, with Arsenal and Manchester City currently the two occupants of the Champions League places, out of the three, however United’s form under Mourinho has drastically improved, with the Red Devils looking on course for a top four finish.
