Premier League referee, Anthony Taylor, has been confirmed as the man to take charge of next Monday’s huge derby between Liverpool and Man United.

Jose Mourinho’s side will travel to Anfield for what is being dubbed ‘Red Monday’, as the Red Devils look to get their season going once again in the league.

Klopp’s side, by contrast, are looking to make it five wins on the bounce in the Premier League after they came from behind to beat Swansea City 2-1 before the international break.

Taylor, who was in charge when Mourinho’s men comfortably dispatched Southampton 2-0 at Old Trafford, was selected as an official for this summer’s European Championships in France.

The Altrincham supporting official came under-fire when he sent Stoke City boss, and former United man, Mark Hughes to the stands in their 4-0 thumping at the hands of Tottenham earlier this season.

Controversially, however, he is from Greater Manchester, which has ruffled a few feathers in the Liverpool camp on Twitter…
