Liverpool travel to Switzerland to take on FC Sion knowing a point will see them finish top of Group B.

A 2-1 win over Bordeaux at Anfield in their last European outing was enough for the Reds to get into the last-32 with a game to play.

But now Jurgen Klopp will be hoping to go into the latter stages of the tournament as group winners, but will need a result against a Sion side which currently sits second and just a point behind the Reds.

Defeat for the hosts could see them drop out of the competition if Rubin Kazan defeat Bordeaux, so a victory, which would see Liverpool drop to second, is all-important for the home side.

The Merseyside outfit, who are looking to bounce back from their surprise 2-0 defeat at Newcastle on Sunday, have collected four points from their previous two Europa League away matches, while Sion have secured the same number of points from their two home outings.

The reverse fixture, which turned out to be Brendan Rodgers’ final European game in charge, ended in a 1-1 draw on matchday two.

Team News:

Daniel Sturridge sustained a hamstring injury in the defeat at Newcastle and has not travelled with the squad.

Lucas Leiva, Joe Allen and Alberto Moreno have all remained at Melwood, while Jordon Ibe is out with a virus.

However, Philippe Coutinho is set to make his comeback after missing the last four games with a hamstring injury.
