Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United side will be looking forward to a quick return to action on Thursday night following the disappointment of the Manchester derby defeat at he weekend.

While it certainly isn’t the European competition they would like to be playing in, it is fair to say that even with some expected rotation in the starting line-up, it will still be a team very capable of going far in the tournament that takes to the field at De Kuip this week.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s Feyenoord team currently sit top of the Eredivisie in Holland.

They have won all five of their league matches this season, scoring 16 goals in the process, so they will be confident they can make things uncomfortable for their visitors.

Team News:

There is likely to be a lot of rotation from Mourinho who has already confirmed that young striker Marcus Rashford will lead the line.

The likes of Memphis Depay, Ander Herrera, Marcos Rojo, Chris Smalling and Michael Carrick could get their chance to impress as well.

Bastian Schweinsteiger will not feature having not been named in the squad of 25.

Feyenoord are likely to field a strong team looking to take their domestic form in to Europe. Ex Liverpool man Dirk Kuyt will feature alongside promising midfieler Tonny Vilhena who’s creativity will be key in supplying Nicolai Jorgenson.
