England take on Slovenia in Ljubljana on Tuesday night, seeking another victory to preserve their 100 per cent record in their 2018 World Cup qualifying campaign.

The Group F leaders, who comfortably fended off minnows Malta 2-0 inside Wembley Stadium on Saturday, are expected to come away from their travels with all three points, as Gareth Southgate continues his interim spell in charge of the Three Lions following Sam Allardyce’s exit.

But what can we expect from Tuesday’s clash? Well, the last time these two nations went head-to-head, Jack Wilshere scored twice to help England record a 3-2 away victory during their impressive Euro 2016 qualifying campaign.

Captain Wayne Rooney, who was booed during the weekend’s game versus Malta, also got himself on the scoresheet – though he is set to start tomorrow night’s match from the substitute’s bench.

Instead of second guessing how England will fare in Slovenia on Tuesday, we instead turned to FIFA 17 and simulated the fixture to see whether the Three Lions could make it three wins from three games in Group F.

That they did! Just. Arsenal winger Theo Walcott scored the only goal of the game, three minutes before the interval, to preserve England’s perfect record and give boss Southgate his second victory in charge inside four days.
