Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have arguably been the surprise package of this season’s Premier League campaign so far, with Manchester United sitting pretty in first place at the midway point.

Solskjaer’s side’s success is largely down to their superb away form, with the club currently on an undefeated away run stretching back more than a year.

Along with ever-present talisman Bruno Fernandes’ match-winning performances, midfield partner Paul Pogba seems to have once again rediscovered his best form and United fans will be hopeful that they can maintain their form and challenge for the title in May.

Despite the Red Devils’ impressive campaign and the strong form of the club’s blistering attack, they are reportedly still keen on bringing former Manchester City man Jadon Sancho to Old Trafford, and a deal could be closer than ever according to reports from Germany.

According to Sport1, Borussia Dortmund could be forced to sell Sancho this summer due to the club’s ongoing financial difficulties.

Sancho has 11 England caps.

The German giants have been hard-hit by the Coronavirus pandemic and are anticipating losses in excess of £80 million.

Dortmund currently sit seventh in the Bundesliga after picking up just one point from their past three games, and the prospect of failure to qualify for the Champions League would only worsen the club’s financial situation.

United were reported to have had a bid of around £108m for the England winger rejected last summer, but Chief Executive Ed Woodward will be hopeful of agreeing a deal for a lower fee if Dortmund’s situation doesn’t improve.
